For a course offering an early registration fee, there is a discount of approximately 5% to participants who sign up 2 or more weeks in advance of the course start date. Please see specific course page for details.
There is a 15% discount off of the full registration fee for the Search Engine Optimization, Marketing, and Metrics Certificate Program for participants who have completed the Basic Web Design Certificate.
Special Discounts for Institute of Internal Auditors Members
There is a 15% discount off of the full registration fee for the Certified Internal Auditor Exam Prep course for
Institute of Internal Auditors Members.
Special Discount for Charlotte Area ASTD and Charlotte Area SHRM Members
All Charlotte Area ASTD (American Society for Training and Development) members and Charlotte Area SHRM (Charlotte Area Society for Human Resource Management) members will receive a discount of approximately 15% for each individual Human Resources/Training and Development course in which they enroll.
Special Discount for Charlotte Metro IIBA (International Institute of Business Analysis) Members
All Charlotte Metro IIBA members will receive a discount of approximately 15% for each Business Analysis course in which they enroll.

Discounts are approximately 50% and may or may not be applicable depending on the particular course. Please call our Registration Center at 704-687-8900 to verify that the course you are interested in qualifies for the Faculty/Staff discount.
According to Policy #118 , the Office of Continuing Education, Extension, and Summer Programs (CEESP) is authorized to provide a discount to any "qualified employee" for selected non-credit courses offered by CEESP.
A "qualified employee" is a current permanent EPA or permanent SPA employee of The University of North Carolina at Charlotte who:
1. has completed any required period of SPA probationary employment;
2. is regularly scheduled to work thirty or more hours each week at least nine months of each year;
3. has obtained the advance written approval of his/her supervisor to enroll in the course, if the course is offered during the employee's normal working hours; and
4. meets all other requirements for admission to the specific course.
Please note that Policy Statement #118 requires you to obtain advance written approval of your supervisor to enroll in the course if the course is offered during your normal working hours. If this applies to your situation, you should contact your supervisor to obtain written approval and then keep a copy of this approval in your personal files for future reference.
The discounts will be effective with courses that begin on or after July 1, 2005. Please see Policy #118 for further details.
Please note that this policy applies only to eligible UNC Charlotte faculty and staff and unfortunately does not extend to the family members of employees.
Faculty and staff may register online or by telephone at 704-687-8900. The CE Registration Center will determine, as is the case with any course registration, whether the individual meets any prerequisites that might have been set for admission to the course.
The registrant will be required to make payment of the discounted fee under whatever terms are in effect for all payments for the course in question. In general, CE requires payment at the time of registration.
Two business days before the start of the course, the CE Registration Center will request by e-mail that Human Resources confirm the eligibility of the registrant. If eligibility is confirmed, the registrant will then be allowed to attend the course to its completion at the discounted fee.
Continuing Education course discounts are not layered unless expressly allowed for in a course’s promotional materials – i.e., the single best discount is applied but multiple discounts are not layered on top of one another.
