Developed for prospective elementary and special education teachers in North Carolina, this course addresses the 11 content objectives that are tested on the NC General Curriculum Math Subtest. For each objective, participants will be guided through a carefully-sequenced set of tasks designed to develop content knowledge and problem-solving skills. Each objective starts with foundational content that is meant to be non-intimidating, even for those who have struggled with math in the past. The problems slowly get more complex, until participants are solving problems similar to those that will appear on the actual test.
- Number and Operations
- Measurement and Geometry
