This course will provide an overview of digital forensics to aid the student in understanding the process of data creation, recovery, and analysis and the benefits of that knowledge during a forensic accounting engagement. The course will allow students to gain an understanding of working with investigations related to data forensics, emails, internet/web forensics, mobile devices, and networks. Also covered will be the topics of the litigation process including pre-trial, the day in court, and aspects of testifying as a computer forensics expert.
If English is not your native language, we recommend the equivalent English language proficiency of a minimum score of 557 paper-based or 83 internet-based on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), which is administered by Educational Testing Service (ETS).
The test scores are not required for enrollment in this course.
