Live online courses may be delivered synchronously meaning in real time at a specific date and time using a learning management system.
Course delivery could include live online chats with classmates, video conferencing, live virtual lectures, and instructor virtual office hours.
Requirements include reliable internet access, webcam, computer access, and a headset or microphone and speakers. See specific system requirements for Zoom and Canvas.
Lectures, discussions, and presentations could occur at a specific time for all, allowing for active discussion and immediate feedback. Participants should be prepared to participate! You may even be asked to turn your web camera on at various times throughout the day.
