Course Overview

Individuals without a plan in place for incapacity, death, or nursing home care will often see their wishes unfulfilled and their assets at the mercy of creditors. There is a way to prevent this. This course will show you when and how to use different estate planning tools to accomplish the goals of an individual. We will cover the definition of estate planning, goals and objectives, significance of title, form of ownership and beneficiary designations, types of wills, statutory alternatives to wills, durable powers of attorney, health care powers of attorney, living wills, and basic transfer tax concepts.
