Sharpen Your Skillset in Procurement & Supply Management
Procurement & Supply Management (PSM) is the art of finding, negotiating, and solidifying the purchase of goods and/or services for an organization while figuring out when and how to transport products or deploy labor to exactly where an organization needs it to be at the right time.
UNC Charlotte Continuing Education has partnered with the Institute for Supply Management Carolinas-Virginia (ISM-CV) to offer this certificate program in Procurement and Supply Management Fundamentals, which is one of the first ISM-CV backed continuing education programs in the country.
Demand for jobs in PSM continues to increase in the region as corporations need help to procure goods and services for business operations or for resale to customers.
- According to EMSI, buyers and purchasing agent jobs in North Carolina, which include procurement specialists, are projected to grow over 2.1% over the next 10 years.
- The US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) states that the average salary for buyers and purchasing agents in North Carolina is $63,770 with top earners making nearly $100,000.
The program helps experienced practitioners, new hires, or career changers formally grasp a collection of pertinent Procurement & Supply Management concepts to sharpen their skillset for advancement in their careers.
This program is offered as a four-week online course. After successful completion of the 21-hour program and a final exam, graduates are eligible for a PSM Professional Certificate offered exclusively in the region by UNC Charlotte in partnership with the Institute for Supply Management Carolinas-Virginia.
