Mark Heekin, Esq.

Mark Heekin is Senior Real Estate Counsel with Retail Business Services, an Ahold Delhaize USA company, which provides legal and other professional services to six supermarket chains in the South, East and Midwest United States. Prior to his work with ADUSA, Heekin was a tenured Professor of Law, teaching courses including Property, Real Estate Finance, Advanced Contracts Drafting Seminar, Business Organizations, and Remedies. In conjunction with his teaching, Heekin was widely published, most recently in the Journal of Securities & Business Law.

Prior to full-time teaching, Heekin was the founding attorney and Director of Heekin Law Firm, P.A., in Jacksonville, Florida. Before establishing Heekin Law Firm, Heekin was General Counsel for Sleiman Enterprises, Inc., a commercial real estate developer based in Jacksonville, Florida. Prior to practicing, Heekin taught at institutions in Florida and Mississippi. Heekin holds a J.D. from Mississippi College School of Law and a B.A. from the University of Florida. He is a member of the Florida Bar and is also admitted to the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida.
