Take the courses in any order you wish. Earn your certificate in as little as a few months - or up to 1 year.

Electronic Materials

Course Materials

All course materials will be provided electronically. Registered students will receive access instructions in their enrollment reminder emails prior to class.


Attendance Requirements

To receive your record of attendance, full participation is expected. Participants must be present at the beginning of each course and be in attendance through the duration of each course in order to receive the record of attendance. Credit hours will only be adjusted under extenuating circumstances.


Certificate Requirements

To earn a Human Resource Generalist Certificate you must complete all 6 required courses and 2 electives. Take the courses in any order you wish. Core courses are not required to be taken prior to electives.

Students have one year (two semesters) to complete the certificate. We will work with a student if they have special circumstances. Should a student fail to complete the program in two consecutive semesters, he or she will be required to meet the standards of the current program at the time of re-entry.

Prerequisites - There are no prerequisites.

Elective Substitutions  - Courses HRT128 (Change Management & Organizational Development) and HRT126 (Generational Impact to Business) are the default electives for the Human Resource Generalist Certificate. When purchasing a bundle, these electives are automatically included with your purchase.

Earning Multiple Certificates:

If you are interested in achieving both the HR and the Learning and Development Certificates, the following rules apply: The first certificate program will require you to take 6 core courses and 2 electives; the second certificate will require you to take only the 6 core courses and the electives will be waived.
